The existing bathroom in this family house was run down and tired, and with all the kids having moved out from the family house, the owners thought it time to spoil themselves… and spoil themselves they did. Due to the intricate patten works, ninety percent of the tiles used in the new build were individually cut by hand and the detail throughout was of the utmost importance making sure all the borders and trimmings would fit in with eachother without taking anything away.
With the renovation on the second story, the sub-floor needed to be inspected, re-supported and in some places replaced due to wear and tear after years of use and water damage. All existing plumbing and electrical needed to be checked and in some places replaced ensuring no problems would appear further down the track. Once all structual works had been completed, several layers of water proofing was applied making sure that no further damage would occur. All timber was cut and fit in place, then pulled off stained and sealed and fixed back in place. I am informed that the bathroom gets a good working out and everyone loves the finished product.
